With the planned changes, there is nothing, an industrial pilot could do to pass any gatecamp
(a) Buy blockade runner. (b) fit two polycarbons. (d) fit two istab IIs (e) Buy +5% agility implant and plug it in. (f) If you haven't already, train spaceship command V and evasive maneuver V, it takes about 20-25 days for both.
This alone will make you practically invunerable in low-sec. We're talking about, essentially, interceptor-like agility and then some.
While you could argue it's expensive or skill intensive, well, so is the HIC. However, it's really effectively invunerable.
However, if you're willing to spend a bit of time and travel through the same route often, here's a trick for you: buy rifter, fit rifter with nanos, overdrives and a MWD and something for cap. Now fly through every gate on the way. You'll notice that, when you jump through a gate, you're always flying the same exact way.
So, what you do after you jump in the system, fly in the exact direction (trails help you judge this) for about 1000-2000km. Bookmark this location. After you do this, you will have a point where you can always warp if you're in a camp to without doing any aligning except getting up to speed, meaning you should enter warp in less then a second. Significantly less then a second.
You could, in fact, have fun with a cloak to cover this part of a second if you wanted to.
There you go, with a little work, total invunerability in low sec, short of someone suiciding two triple sensor boosted stilletos on you, and that almost certainly wouldn't work either with a cloak, given the split-second reaction time you've got.
i fail to see why that would make you invulnerable in any single way. You'd be sitting in a , granted, very agile yet slow and big ship unable to warp. Doesn't sound too great for me. Oh and when you jump into a system you're at a full stop thus there is no difference in alignment time whether the waypoint is behind or right in front of you. Also you could intercept travellers midway between the gates , thus enabling smaller tacklers to help out with webs and stuff without having to tank any sentry fire.
